There is so much in store for this stunning farm. The vision is ambitious, but every detail is thought through to the nth degree. The Coffee Shed is no exception.
Follow this time-weathered old shed as it transforms into something warm and inviting.
THE ORCHARD AND GARDENS
Is there anything better than picking a pear from a tree, biting into a crisp apple in autumn, or searching the field for the perfect pumpkin?
We plan to offer rows of fruit trees and long patches of pumpkins for the picking.
Tag along as we create the perfect setting for a bountiful fall harvest.
THE BARN
This barn was made to host the greatest of celebrations. The dream of this barn needs no TLC. There isn't a stone left unturned, a board left un-hammered, or a detail left out.
Come along with us as we build the barn. There's a lot of celebrating that needs to be done.

The heart. This beautiful old farmhouse has stories we can't wait to share. The reconstruction is hefty, but it is already turning into one of our most rewarding conquests.

OUR STORY
THIS IS WINTERWOOD
Winterwood is more than a tree farm.
It's a culmination of every dream I had as a child - especially at Christmastime.
It’s the feeling of waking up before the sun on a cold December morning. The kind of cold that settles comfortably into a Minnesota winter and seems to freeze everything in time. It's quiet, still, and unmistakable. The glow of lights against the dark. Looking out from the inside of my frosted windows it seems so simple, so slow. Yet, the anticipation is somehow magical.
For a long time, the dream was just a feeling. Something I carried with me. Something I tried to recreate in small ways—the memory of Christmas music playing on the CD player in my parents kitchen, the Martha Stewart decorations we bought at K-Mart to spoil ourselves with a second tree in the small basement where we would watch our favorite shows, or the scent of nutmeg and vanilla in the homemade old fashioned donuts my mom and I used to make when I couldn't have been over the age of three.
I yearn for these moments to find me again.
And then, slowly, it started to take shape. Only this time I realized I'm not the three-year-old standing on the chair at the edge of the counter in our old galley kitchen, I'm my mother. I have three-year-old's of my own. Christmas magic is no longer happening to me, I'm the one creating it.
So when my husband and I (ok, mostly me), found an old farm just outside of Minneapolis in Corcoran, MN, all those feelings—the dream of creating that longed for, nostalgic Christmas, began to root itself into something real.
